About Courses

The educational courses at the European School of Humanities are focused on the interdisciplinary study of human culture, philosophy, history, and the arts. Its mission is to foster a deep understanding of human thought and culture across different periods and regions. The Humanities Courses pursue the study of the human experience, past and present, encompassing the study of history and art history, languages and literature, philosophy, religion, and visual and dramatic arts. The International European University students acquire skills in critical analysis, interpretation and argument, analytical writing, and oral presentation in individual and collaborative undertakings. They discover how societies, cultures, human values, and everyday experiences have been transformed, represented, and remembered over time.

Humanities courses at the International European University are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in the English medium of instruction. The European School of Humanities provides flexible modes of study to cater to the needs of different students. The educational courses are offered on-campus, online, or through distance learning programs, making Humanity education more accessible to students who can’t attend traditional classroom-based courses. For online and distance learners, IEU offers comprehensive technical support to ensure smooth access to digital platforms and resources.

The duration of studying – 4 years of full-time studying (Bachelor`s) and 2-3 years of full-time studying (Master’s).

Practical Training

The practical training at the European School of Humanities is designed to complement theoretical learning and provide IEU students with the practical skills needed to succeed in their future careers. The European School of Humanities offers a variety of practical training opportunities, each associated with different aspects of the humanities. It includes internships, field studies, workshops, interactive sessions, research projects, cultural heritage preservation, and community engagement initiatives.

• An array of workshops and interactive sessions provide students with hands-on experiences in different cultural practices. From calligraphy and painting workshops to culinary demonstrations and language immersion sessions, such interactive events allow International European University Campus students to engage directly with cultural traditions, develop new skills, and gain a deeper appreciation for the diversity of human expression.
• Internships are an integral part of the educational process where IEU students work with organizations, institutions, or companies related to their field of study. The internships can be local, national, or international, providing students with a range of professional experiences in different fields of study. Students’ tasks include research assistance, project management, content creation, curatorial work, public relations, and administrative support.
• Field studies involve trips and activities conducted outside the classroom, often in historical, cultural, or archaeological sites. The field studies are part of Humanity courses such as history, archaeology, art history, and cultural studies. Students take part in site visits to historical landmarks, museums, galleries, and cultural institutions, and hands-on activities such as archaeological digs, artifact analysis, and conservation work.

Research projects allow IEU students to undertake in-depth studies on specific topics. It can be individual or collaborative and involves primary research. Students study how to formulate research questions and hypotheses, conduct literature reviews, archival research, and data collection, and present their findings through dissertations, research papers, or academic conferences.
